EfM has two variations you can take:
EfM: Classics
or
EfM: Wide-Angle
The foundational definitions of the EfM curriculums can be found at this website that covers the 2026-2027 year of the most recent version of the curriculum, its fifth since 1975 that debuted in Fall 2025.

Some Highlights from the website and its handouts:
The EfM: Classic and EfM: Wide Angle are 36 weeks of study comprised of 27 Core Lessons and 9 Common Lessons. The 9 Common Lessons are 4 essays from our Spiritual Sojourners and 3 weeks of texts and videos for the Community Gathering.
You buy or borrow the texts and videos you need.
In the Texts booklist, if you are new to the program, you will be Year 1 or Wide-Angle, depending on which program you choose to join.

The curriculum’s syllabus will be accessed through Pathwright, an online-only educational website. It will be available to you once you are paid and registered for the course.
Registration opens July 15 for a September start.
